I was introduced to photography by a good friend of my family while living in Scotland. However, at that time I was very young and did not get involved myself till much later.
Like everyone else I started off with film which was fun but you never knew until you got the photographs developed if the photographs you took were good or not or even if you got any at all.
I move to the USA in 1984 and started getting more involved with photography but it was not until I moved to Georgia that I started to look into taking lessons. I have done two online courses with the New York Institute of Photography which were very good and I was very pleased to receive not one but two Awards of Merit. I have also had one of my photographs on the front of the local St. Marys Magazine, and in 2019 I was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for three of my photographs that I had submitted to Showcase Camden County Contest for Nature, People and Transportation.
I have also attended local classes at the Okefenokee Swamp here in Georgia from a local photographer which were fun and very helpful. I have done wedding photography in the past but not recently.
At this time as well as my photography I have recently been working on different forms of art which include working with mixed media in the form of mosaics, alcohol ink, and acrylic pours. I am really enjoying the acrylic pours as you will see by my photograph.
